Como funciona um tilter de contêiner ou flipper de contêiner?
Como funciona um Inclinador de Container / Flipper de Container?
Em termos simples: utiliza
hydraulic power to safely lift, lock, tilt or fully rotate a shipping container so bulk cargo inside can flow out completely.
hydraulic power to safely lift, lock, tilt or fully rotate a shipping container so bulk cargo inside can flow out completely.
Here is the step-by-step working principle:
1. Machine Structure
A typical container tilter/flipper includes:
- Main steel frame (heavy-duty welded structure)
- Hydraulic cylinders (the "power arm" that pushes and lifts)
- Hydraulic power unit (pump, motor, oil tank)
- Container locking system (twist locks to fix container corners)
- Control system (wired or wireless remote control)
Safety devices (limit switches, emergency stop, anti-slip pins)
2. Step-by-Step Working Process
Step 1: Container Positioning
- A forklift or truck places the 20ft / 40ft container onto the tilter platform.
- The container is centered and aligned.
Step 2: Automatic Locking
- The machine’s twist locks engage the four corner castings of the container.
- This securely fixes the container so it does not shift or fall during rotation.
Step 3: Hydraulic Lifting & Tilting
- The hydraulic pump starts, pushing high-pressure oil into large hydraulic cylinders.
- The cylinders extend, lifting one end or one side of the platform.
Difference between Tilter & Flipper:
- Container Tilter: Lifts to an angle, usually 30°–90° → cargo slides out.
- Container Flipper: Rotates the platform up to 180° → fully inverts the container.
Step 4: Cargo Discharging
- Bulk material (grain, ore, sand, coal, powder) flows out smoothly into a hopper, truck, or silo below.
Step 5: Return to Horizontal
- After unloading, hydraulic cylinders retract.
- The platform lowers back to level.
Step 6: Unlock & Remove
- Twist locks release.
Container is removed by forklift or truck.
3. Core Technical Principle
- Hydraulic drive: Provides strong, stable, and controllable force.
- Mechanical linkage structure: Converts linear cylinder thrust into rotational movement.
Electrical control: Ensures smooth start/stop, adjustable speed, and safe limits.
4. Key Features in Operation
- One person operates via remote control
- Adjustable tilting speed
- Automatic stop at set angles
- Overload protection
- No damage to container structure
